Community Prayer Chain Information

We appreciate your interest in serving on the 72-Hour Prayer Chain. It only takes 30 minutes of your time during each Walk.  If you have attended one of the three-day weekends, simply select a time to pray.  We ask that you pick a time convenient to pray for the entire calendar year.  There are 7 Emmaus Walks and 2 Chrysalis Flights during each year.

The time you choose can be a quiet time at home, while driving to work, after the children go to bed, or even while doing mundane chores.  Please keep in mind that late night/early morning times are also very important so as not to break the 72-hours of prayer.

Some find the “Pick-A-Partner” plan works well.  You and a friend can share the same time so that if one is unavailable the other can cover the 30 minutes.  Both names will appear on the Banner and the Time Chart.

v          Pray for each pilgrim attending the Walk. Names of the pilgrims will be found in your Emmaus Newsletter.  Pray that they will be blessed by their experience at the Walk.

v          Pray for each team member.  Their names also appear in the Newsletter.  Pray for unity among team members as they serve, whether in the conference room or on a committee.

v          As you remember, there are many other activities during the weekend.  Pray for these activities as well as those traveling to and from them.

If you are on a team and working as a table leader or an assistant table leader, your name will be temporarily removed from the Banner but not from the Time Table on this website.  It will be returned to the Banner for the next Walk.

There are some people able to pray at any time which helps to cover empty spots because of team member’s names being removed from the Banner.  If you are one of these people and would like to help in this way, contact us at:  prayerchaincmwe@yahoo.com. 

Following the October Walks, we begin making changes for the upcoming year.  We will be glad to take your name off the chain or change your time if you desire.  To make these changes send an e-mail to the above address.  Your name will remain at the same time if we do not hear from you.  Reminders will be sent out during the year by e-mail or through your community gatherings.
